  Zimbabwe, a country which derives its name from the Great Zimbabwe monument, endowed with a rich heritage tapestry will also be exhibiting at the 3rd Art Hong Kong Expo, following its successful participation at the last edition of the fair. Zimbabwe is located on the southern part of Africa, bordered with Zambia, South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana.
  Zimbabwe has a rich cultural heritage, which spans many millennia which it prides in. In recognition of Zimbabwe’s efforts and its contribution to the cultural landscape, Zimbabwe is a home to a treasure trove of UNESCO World Heritage sites that exhibit the rich cultural identity and breathtaking natural wonders of the nation. The Arts and Culture sector is a vibrant industry in Zimbabwe, contributing immensely to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from proceeds of exports of arts and crafts and culture related trade.
  Today the nation of Zimbabwe has produced so many outstanding world-renowned artists, it would be impossible to list them all, but they include stone sculptors, wood carvers, landscape and wildlife painters, photographers, singers and dancers, among others. As part of the exhibits for this year’s edition, Zimbabwe will showcase some of its wood and stone carvings, art paints and fashion displays among others. This will present an opportunity for China, Asia and the world at large to have a deeper understanding of the diverse Zimbabwean culture and customs.

The art of stone sculpture in Zimbabwe continues to evolve, with thousands of sculptors working throughout the country.
